Overview

If a leave request is no longer needed, you can cancel it from the request details when Teamper allows that action. Teamper keeps the request record and changes its status instead of removing it.

Before you cancel

Check the request status first. The option to cancel depends on what stage the request is in and what actions are available to you.

Cancel a request

  1. Open Teamper.
  2. Open the leave request you want to stop.
  3. Click Cancel request if it is available.
  4. Enter a short cancellation reason.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

What happens next

  • The request status changes to cancelled
  • The cancellation note is saved with the request record
  • Related balance, wallchart, and inbox views update to match the new status
Submitted leave requests cannot be edited or deleted. If a request is wrong, your option is to cancel it when Teamper allows that action and submit a new request if needed.

If you do not see Cancel request

  • The request may already be cancelled, rejected, or in a state you cannot change
  • Your company may limit who can cancel that request
  • You may be looking at a summary instead of the full request details

Troubleshooting

  • If Teamper says it cannot cancel the request, refresh the request details and try again.
  • If the request was already processed by someone else, the status may have changed.
  • If you still cannot cancel it, contact your manager or company admin and share the current request status.
