- Your request dates must fit the balance period and company rules

- Start a request from My Calendar or click Request Leave on Wallchart.
- Choose a leave type.
- Select your start and end dates.
- Choose the available session options for partial-day requests when needed.
- Add a reason if your company expects one.
- Submit the request.
What Teamper checks automatically
Teamper validates the request before it is accepted.- Overlapping leave dates
- Invalid date or time ranges
- Available leave balance
- Whether the leave type is still active and requestable
- Whether the request stays inside the current balance period
- Whether a backdated request starts no more than seven days before your company’s current date
- Whether the request is too far in the future
Teamper calculates request duration and balance usage on the server after you submit. You do not enter your own final duration or balance values.
Request leave for a past date
You can submit a leave request with a start date up to seven days before your company’s current date. The seventh previous day is allowed; an earlier start date is rejected. A backdated request must also fit completely inside the current leave balance period. If it crosses into an earlier period, choose dates in the current period or ask your admin how the absence should be recorded. After you submit
- The request appears with a status such as
pending, approved, rejected, orcancelled - Approvers can review it in their workflow
- Status changes appear in your inbox and related views
Collaborate on a submitted request
Open the request details and use Shared with to let another active employee view the request and add timeline comments. Shared people cannot approve or change the request, and Teamper notifies them in Inbox and by email. You can use@ in a timeline comment to notify an active person who already has access to the request. Mentioning someone does not give them access. See Approval requests for who can manage sharing and the full collaboration workflow.
What you cannot do
- Edit a submitted request
- Delete a submitted request
- Force a request through when the rules reject it
Troubleshooting
- If you cannot submit, check for overlapping requests or invalid dates.
- If Teamper says you do not have enough balance, review your current balance first.
- If the leave type is unavailable, it may no longer be active or requestable for you.
- If a past request is rejected, check that its start date is no more than seven days ago and that all dates are inside the current balance period.
- If no request form is available, ask your admin to confirm that you have a leave policy.
