Overview

Command Center helps you open common actions, pages, and records without navigating through the sidebar. Its results follow your current permissions and the modules enabled for your company.

Who can use this

  • Employees, managers, and admins in completed company workspaces where Command Center is enabled

Open Command Center

  1. Click Search… in the company sidebar, or press Cmd+K on macOS or Ctrl+K on other systems.
  2. Enter a command or search term in Search or run a command….
  3. Use the arrow keys to move through results.
  4. Press Enter to open the selected result, or Escape to close Command Center.
The shortcut does not open Command Center while you are typing in an input, text area, selection control, or editable content.

What you can open

Eligible results can include:
  • Quick actions such as Submit leave request, Submit a request, and My leave balance
  • Active Company Request types
  • Navigation, management, and settings destinations available to your role
  • Up to three current Action Required Inbox items when you first open Command Center
Command Center opens the existing Teamper page or form for each action. It does not bypass validation, approvals, or confirmation steps.

Search records

With fewer than three non-space characters, Command Center filters local actions and navigation only. At three or more characters, it can also search records you are allowed to view.
  • Employees can find their own leave requests and Company Requests they can access.
  • Admins can also find employees and, when enabled, assets.
  • Disabled modules and inactive request types do not appear.
  • Search never includes comments, request answers, leave reasons, asset notes, attachments, or Inbox items.

Troubleshooting

A result is missing

Check your permission and whether the related module is enabled. Command Center only shows actions and records you can already access elsewhere in Teamper.

Search is not in the sidebar

Ask a company admin to confirm onboarding is complete and Command Center is enabled for your company.

Record search does not start

Enter at least three non-space characters. Shorter queries only filter local commands.

A result is no longer available

Your permission, the record, or its module may have changed while Command Center was open. Close it, reopen it, and search again.
