Overview

Your Teamper inbox keeps request activity in one place. It separates items that need action from updates that you only need to read, including both leave requests and company requests.

Who can use this

  • Employees
  • Managers and approvers
  • Company admins

Before you start

  • Sign in to the correct company workspace
  • Make sure you have permission to view the request that sent the notification

What you see in the inbox

  • Action Required items for requests that currently need you to act
  • Updates for approved, rejected, and cancelled requests
  • Read-only leave approval reminders under Updates for the current approver
  • Leave request and company request notifications in the same inbox
  • Unread counts on each tab
  • A Mark all as read option when unread items exist

Review inbox items

  1. Open Teamper.
  2. Go to Inbox.
  3. Open Action Required or Updates.
  4. Click an item to view the request or related details.
  5. Mark items as read, or use Mark all as read when you are done.

What happens when you open an item

  • Teamper opens the full request detail page for the linked leave request or company request
  • Unread items are marked as read when Teamper processes them
  • Managers and approvers may be able to take action directly from the detail view
  • Company request notifications can open the request record with its summary, approval progress, and activity history

Leave approval reminders

If you are the current actionable approver for a pending leave request, Teamper may add an informational reminder to Updates. The reminder opens the request for review; it does not give you a new action in the inbox. Teamper also sends the reminder by email. It does not send a push notification for this reminder. The reminder is no longer actionable when the approval is resolved or you are no longer eligible to approve it, so always use the request page to check the latest status.

Inbox and push notifications

Inbox is the in-app record for request actions and updates. Push notifications are optional device-level alerts for approval-critical leave updates, and they only apply to the browser and device where you enable them. If push notifications are unavailable, blocked, or turned off, continue using Inbox to review your action-required items and updates.

Troubleshooting

  • If an update is missing, check the latest status on the request itself.
  • If you cannot open an item, refresh the page and try again.
  • If you open an older company request notification, the request may load without action buttons if the approval step is no longer active.
  • If you expect more items, use Show more when it is available.
  • If a reminder opens a request without approval controls, the request may already be resolved or you may no longer be the active approver. Review Cannot approve a request.
