Overview

Push notifications let Teamper alert you about approval-critical leave updates on the browser and device where you enable them. They are optional and work alongside Inbox notifications, which remain the in-app record of request activity. Teamper only shows the Push notifications card on My Calendar when the current browser, device, and environment can support push notifications.

Who can use this

  • Employees
  • Managers and approvers
  • Company admins

Before you start

  • Sign in to the correct company workspace.
  • Open Teamper in the browser and device where you want alerts.
  • Make sure your browser allows notifications for Teamper.
  • Keep using Inbox for the complete in-app history of request actions and updates.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Teamper.
  2. Click My Calendar in the main navigation.
  3. Find the Push notifications card.
  4. Click Enable notifications.
  5. Allow notifications if your browser asks for permission.
  6. Wait for Teamper to show Push notifications are on for this browser on this device.

Turn notifications off for this device

  1. Open My Calendar on the browser and device where notifications are enabled.
  2. Find the Push notifications card.
  3. Click Turn off for this device.
Turning notifications off only affects the current browser and device. If you enabled push notifications somewhere else, repeat these steps there too.

What messages you may see

What happens next

  • Teamper can send approval-critical leave alerts to the device where you enabled notifications.
  • Clicking a push notification opens the related Teamper page when your browser supports it.
  • Inbox still keeps the in-app request record, even when push notifications are off or unavailable.
  • Push notifications do not replace email or other notification channels your company uses.

Troubleshooting

I do not see the Push notifications card

The card appears only when Teamper can offer push notifications for your current browser, device, and environment. Try opening My Calendar in a modern browser, then ask your admin or implementation team if push notifications should be configured for your workspace.

Teamper says notifications are blocked

Your browser has blocked notifications for Teamper. Open your browser settings, allow notifications for Teamper, then return to My Calendar and try again.

I enabled notifications but do not receive alerts

Check that you are using the same browser and device where you enabled notifications. Push notifications are device-specific, and your browser or operating system may also mute notifications.

I turned notifications off but still see Inbox updates

This is expected. Inbox is the in-app record of request activity. Turning off push notifications only stops device-level alerts for that browser and device.

FAQs

Are Inbox notifications and push notifications the same thing?

No. Inbox keeps Teamper request actions and updates inside the app. Push notifications are optional alerts sent to the browser and device where you enable them.

Can I install Teamper like an app?

Yes, when your browser offers installation. Teamper can open as a standalone app after installation, but the docs do not promise offline support. Keep using Teamper while connected so leave requests, approvals, balances, and inbox updates stay current.

Does Teamper support offline mode?

Teamper is designed for connected workflows. Do not rely on offline access for leave requests, approvals, balances, or inbox updates.
