Overview

When an employee cannot sign in, the cause is usually one of a small number of access issues: the invite was never completed, the employee record is inactive, the company access is paused, or the employee is using the wrong Google or Microsoft account. Their employee or admin role controls what they can manage after sign-in; it does not make an archived employee able to sign in.

Common causes

  • The employee was never invited
  • The invite needs to be resent
  • The employee record is archived
  • The company no longer has active access
  • The employee is using a different Google or Microsoft email address than the one stored in Teamper

What to check

  1. Open the employee record.
  2. Confirm the employee email address.
  3. Check whether the employee is active or archived.
  4. Send or resend the invite if needed.
  5. Ask the employee which Google or Microsoft account they used to sign in.
  6. If the problem affects the whole company, ask the company owner to check the Plan page.
If the person can sign in but cannot open admin features, check their company role separately. See Manage admin access.

When the admin cannot fix it alone

If the employee is active, the invite is correct, and the sign-in email still matches, collect the exact sign-in message and continue with your normal support process.
