Overview
Cancellation is not a standard manager approval action in Teamper. In most cases, employees cancel their own requests, and admins handle cancellations that fall outside employee self-service rules.Who can use this
- Employees checking whether they can cancel their own request
- Managers and approvers who need to understand why a cancellation option is missing
- Company admins who may need to cancel a request for someone else
Before you start
Check the current request status before you try to cancel it.Employees can cancel their own requests when the request is still
pending or when it is approved and starts in the future.Step-by-step guide
- Open the relevant leave request.
- Review the employee, dates, and current status.
- If the request belongs to you and is
pendingor futureapproved, click Cancel. - Enter a cancellation reason.
- Confirm the cancellation.
- If you do not see Cancel, ask a company admin to review the request.
What happens next
After cancellation, the request status changes tocancelled and the employee can see the update in Teamper.
Admins can cancel more request states than employees can. That includes pending requests, future approved requests, ongoing approved requests, and some recently finished approved requests when Teamper still allows correction.
Troubleshooting
I am an approver but I cannot cancel a team member’s request
That is expected unless you are also a company admin and the request still meets Teamper’s cancellation rules.I am the employee and I do not see Cancel
Check whether the request is alreadyrejected, cancelled, or an approved request that has already started.
