Overview

Company admins can export employee directory data to a UTF-8 CSV file. The export uses the directory’s current filters and sorting and includes every matching employee across all pages.

Export the directory

  1. Open Employees.
  2. Search, filter, and sort the directory as needed.
  3. Include archived employees in the status filter if they should be in the file.
  4. Click Export.
The download starts immediately. Without an archived status filter, the export excludes archived employees.

What the file includes

  • Import-compatible employee directory fields
  • Dates in YYYY-MM-DD format
  • Employee Records profile fields when that module is enabled
  • One column for each active custom field
  • All matching rows in the current directory sort order, without pagination
The file does not include leave balances, employee documents, emergency contacts, or audit history. Teamper also protects formula-like text so spreadsheet software displays it as text instead of running it as a formula.

Troubleshooting

The export is missing employees

Clear or change the directory search, department, status, and role filters. Archived employees are excluded unless the active filters include them.

The export is not in the order I expected

Set the directory sort order before clicking Export. The CSV follows that current order.

A custom field is missing

Confirm that Employee Records is enabled and that the custom field is active. Deactivated custom fields are not exported.
