Overview

Use Add Employee when you need to create one employee manually. Teamper lets you set the person’s main details, department, manager, holiday calendar, leave policy, and start date before you send access.

Who can use this

  • Company admins

Before you start

  • Create the employee’s department
  • Create at least one active leave policy
  • Create a holiday calendar if your company uses them

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to Employees.
  2. Click Add Employee.
  3. Enter Name and Email.
  4. Enter Phone Number if you want to store it.
  5. Set Start Date.
  6. Select Department.
  7. Select Manager if the employee reports to someone in Teamper, or leave it as No manager.
  8. Select Holiday Calendar.
  9. Select Leave Policy.
  10. Select Admin under Company role only if the person needs full company admin access.
  11. Click Invite.

What happens next

  • Teamper creates the employee record.
  • Teamper sends the invite email as part of the create flow.
  • The employee appears in the Employees list and can finish sign-in from the invite.
  • You can change an active employee’s company role later from their employee record.
Admin access gives full company-management access. If the person only needs to manage a specific area, keep the Employee role and use Advanced Permissions where available.

Troubleshooting

The employee cannot be added

Check for missing required values such as Name, Department, Holiday Calendar, or Leave Policy.

The right manager is not available

Teamper only shows active employees in Manager, and the employee you are creating cannot be selected as their own manager later. If no one should be assigned yet, leave the field as No manager.

The employee should not receive access yet

Do not use Add Employee if you want to create many records without sending invites immediately. Use Import employees instead, then send invites from the result page.
